Putting Greens from St. Louis Southwest greens are here! Drive for show, putt for dough, every golfer has heard that. Golfers know it’s true too. A par round of golf includes 14 drives, 4 par three approaches, and 36 putts. Now you can practice those important putts at home on a synthetic green that plays like a real golf green. Southwest Greens can install a green just about anywhere in just about any size. If you have a lot of room we can build your green to regulation size and include sand traps, water features, grass bunkers, chipping areas, even tee boxes.
Since our greens hold shots you can expand your practice area out to 200 yards or more. If the space you have is more normal we can build a backyard sized green that will give you the contours, slopes and roll of the greens you find at a fine golf course. Even if your space is limited we can build a putting surface that will help you practice those testers and knee knockers that make or break your round. Our people in Chicago actually built a putting green on a condo balcony high above Lake Michigan! We can even include Nicklaus Design in the project to have the best of the best synthetic golf green installed in your backyard. A Southwest Green is more than just a practice tool though. Our clients find that often their green is the focal point of entertaining at home. Putting contests and short game tournaments are a great way for friends and family to get together. You won’t cover up your Southwest Green from September till May either. As long as there isn’t snow on it you can putt on it. You won’t spend a lot of time or money maintaining a Southwest Green. A little herbicide every month or so, a leaf blower when lawn clippings or leaves get on it, and an annual visit by SWG personnel to brush, top dress, and roll it will keep it playing great for years and years to come.
